Native American Dancer
At the elementary school I attended, a rendezvous was held each year for forth graders to learn about native american culture. The reference photo for this drawing, of a beautiful native american dancer, was taken by my mother at the rendezvous I attended in forth grade. I drew this as a senior in high school in participation in the Congressional Art Competition and was overjoyed to learn that I had won my district. As a result, this painting got to hang for one year in the tunnels below the Capitol building in Washington D.C.
