August’s Legacy

I drew this as part of an assignment at Idaho State University to draw something that told a story. My family’s home has been in the family for decades, and one day this old violin was discovered in our basement. It had belonged to my mother’s great uncle, a talented violinist, but had been sitting in storage for many years. This story was conveyed through its state of disrepair and missing pieces. I set the violin up and drew it from life in this drawing.
